Hi there! My name is Shelley Eagle and live in the Central North Island city of Rotorua, New Zealand. I first fell in love with this wonderful breed when we purchased our first female pet Maine Coon in 2004. Since then we've gradually built up our four legged family and now have an additional 3 great boys. A total of 4 wonderful pet Maine Coons (see OUR PETS for further information). I guess you can say I was hooked on this breed.

Early in 2005 having moved to a semi rural environment, I decided that since I adore this breed so much, it was the natural thing to do to set up my own Maine Coon Cattery. After months of contacting a large number of breeders in both NZ and Australia, I finally found and imported my first two amazing breeding cats from Australia. Massivecoons is one of New Zealand's newest Maine Coon Catteries being established in 2006. It is a small Cattery specialising in Maine Coons and is registered with both NZCF (New Zealand Cat Fancy Inc.) and Catz Inc. As the name suggests, my main goal is to breed cats of a massive size (see ABOUT MAINE COONS for further information) with excellent type, exceptional health and great temperaments. I will also be showing my cats beginning in 2007.

All of our cats are part of the family and are treated with the greatest of love, care and affection. I couldn't imagine life without our 4 legged children. They are fed on (see HEALTH & CARE for further information) top quality Canin Maine Coon Kibbles, Iams Kitten Kibbles, with a daily treat of Tuna which they love. Our breeding cats are screened for, and clear off, both hip dysplasia (HD) and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM).
